Laser Drafting
When developing a Visio floor plan solution for a client, we obtain their electronic CAD files or hardcopy architectural plans. From either of these types of files we then proceed with the developing processes to create the resultant Visio template files (the floor plans). It is common however a client may not have either CAD files or architectural plans available. If this is the case, CADplanners will use laser drafting equipment to recreate the spaces (onsite) in CAD format (DWG/DXF). These CAD files can then be used for the developing processes to create the Visio template file.
Another common scenario is a client may have CAD files or architectural plans however these plans may be out of date. Using the plans the client has available as a base, CADplanners will carry out an onsite laser measure and add/update the components not shown on the original plans.
This service can be used as part of the development of the Visio floor plan system or as a separate service if a client requires electronic files (CAD, dwg, dxf) of their spaces for other purposes. The resultant dwg/dxf files will be emailed and/or put on a disk for the clients own use.
